Has anyone heard of this musical? I was reading a local paper and there was an advertisement in it for "Fame Forever: the reunion and rebirth" being performed by a local drama company (I'm assuming it is a small venue as the town it is being performed in is quite small). Anyway, the article reads: "Fame Forever warps through 20 years revealing the fate of the original musical's characters, now all grown up, and their children who are now students of New York's famed LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts. A school reunion brings them together and the story shows how talent is reborn in the young who carry the torch, like spiritual DNA, in their ambition for fame. The ghost of Carmen Diaz, still 18, also returns to the school to discover why she never graduated with her class and how life and time have passed her by." Dumb question here, but is this based on the musical or the movie musical? Only the one character is mentioned, and it's been so long since I've watched the movie (terrible, I know!) the name wasn't familiar to me.

Yeah ... I've heard of it. LOL
It's a sequel to Fame the Musical (the stage version not the movie version). The Fame Network site has a lot of video clips from various productions of Fame Forever, if you are interested in seeing some of it. http://www.famenetwork.com/video-fameforevervids.php
